HIGH-PRESSURE WASHING
High-pressure washing is a fast and environmentally-friendly method for removal of several types of coating such as paint, resin and cement adhesive. Working pressure ranges between 200 – 2600 bar depending on the level of quality wished. High-pressure washing is also suitable for removal of bitumen from bridge decks.
Advantages of high-pressure washing:
-
exposes damaged places;
-
little residue after cleaning;
-
creates no dust.
The power of water is amazing. When the pressure exceeds 800 bars, water can break concrete. When the pressure of the water jet is 2600 bars, water can cut even 15 cm thick steel and concrete of one metre. In industrial cleaning mostly high-pressure washing is used. The pressure of the water jet varies usually from 200 bars to super powerful 2600 bars.
Cleaning of industrial machinery is year-round work and does not depend on weather or temperature. If cleaning is included in the regular maintenance, there will be fewer standstills and production process will be more effective. This enables our customers to save a great sum of money.
High-pressure pumps are constructed so that the higher the pressure, the less water is used. Therefore 1000 – 1500 bar pressure is suitable for example for waterblasting and removal of concrete, but even higher, so called ultra high-pressure is used for removing coating and layers of paint.
In America surfaces are cleaned nowadays with nearly 3000 bar pressure. New methods are springing up and the number of objects that need high-pressure cleaning is increasing constantly.
Powerful equipment requires skilled handling. It must be a professional holding a jetting gun or water lance.
